
VooDoo make additions to bring training camp roster to 37

The New Orleans VooDoo have made several roster moves today to bring their training camp roster to the maximum limit of 37. It has been announced by the team that they had added DB Roland Cola, DB William Haith, DL Terrance Ford, FB Joe Hall, DL Daniel Kegler, DL Keaton Cromartie, OL Marlon Tickles and OL Chris Ekwueme. In a corresponding move, the club placed DB Calvin Spears on injured reserve.
Cola (5-9, 170, Houston) spent part of the 2006 season on the practice squad of the Philadelphia Soul. He played cornerback at the University of Houston from 2002-03 and prepped at John Ehret HS in Marerro.
Haith(5-10, 192, Liberty) appeared in two games for the Dallas Desperados in 2006. He has also played three seasons in the af2 league and attended training camp with the Washington Redskins in 2004.
Ford (6-2, 311, Southern Mississippi) played for the Golden Eagles from 2002-05 and recorded 90 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, a pass defense, two sacks and a forced fumble. He prepped at Central Lafourche HS in Gheens, La.
Hall (6-2, 279, Kansas State) most recently went to training camp with the Oakland Raiders in 2006. He played for the Rhein fire of NFL Europe in 2005 and also spent part of the 2003 season on the practice squad of the Kansas City Chiefs. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the St. Louis Rams in 2002, Hall compiled 160 carries for 864 yards with nine touchdowns in two seasons at Kansas State.
Kegler (6-2, 250, New Mexico) spent part of the 2005 season with the Austin Wranglers. He has also played in af2 for the Bakersfield Blitz and the Rio Grande Dorados.
Cromartie (6-3, 245, Tulane) is a six-year CFL veteran who made 88 tackles, 12 sacks, one interception and five fumble recoveries during his career with Hamilton and Ottawa. From 1994-97, he played 42 games for the Green Wave with 10 starts, registering 103 career tackles (62 solo), nine sacks, 15 tackles for a loss, one interception and two blocked kicks.
Tickles (6-1, 313, Tulane) comes back to the VooDoo after spending part of the 2004 season on the team's practice squad and spending part of the 2005 off-season with the Dallas Cowboys. Tickles appeared in 47 games with 15 starts for the Green Wave from 1999-2002 and made 94 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, two forced fumbles, three passes defensed and one interception.
Ekwueme (6-1, 298, Bryant) played for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers of af2 from 2004-05 and for the Everett Hawks of the National Indoor Football League in 2006.
