GRAND CHUTE, WI - Saturday's Midwest League contest between the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Kane County Cougars at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium has been rained out. The teams will play a doubleheader on Sunday with game one scheduled to start at 1:05pm.
Fans with tickets to Saturday's game may use their ticket stub to exchange for the same price ticket to a regular season Timber Rattlers home game (excludes special events, and playoff games) during the 2018 season. Tickets must be exchanged at the Timber Rattlers' ticket office. Tickets cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed. No cash refunds.
Sunday is a single-admission doubleheader with two seven-inning games. There will be approximately a thirty-minute break between the end of game one and the start of game two. Fans with tickets to Sunday's game have their seat for both games of the twinbill.
Wisconsin plans on Christian Taugner (1-4, 3.83) as their starting pitcher in game one and Alec Bettinger (4-3, 3.76) as the scheduled starting pitcher in game two. The Cougars have named Mack Lemieux (1-4, 4.96) as their game one starter and Jake Winston (0-0, 6.10) as their starter for game two.
The first 1,000 fans through the gates on Sunday will receive a bobblehead of Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Chase Anderson, who made a rehabilitation start with the Timber Rattlers last year, courtesy of Ripon College.
Sunday is also Sun Safety Day on Sunday as part of MiLB's Cover Your Bases Sun Safety initiative with the American Cancer Society. The initiative promotes awareness and prevention of skin cancer, the importance of screenings, and precautions to protect skin from excessive sun exposure. Forefront Dermatology will be at the game for Sun Safety Day for some tips on how you can get the most enjoyment out of a safe, fun day full of sunshine and handing out Blue Lizard Sunscreen samples.
Fans may play catch on the field starting at noon. During the game, Timber Rattlers players and coaches will be wearing their 2018 Brewers Sunday jerseys. Players will be available for a postgame autograph session sponsored by Tundraland.
