Gone for Garcia: Outfielder Anthony Garcia hit his team-leading sixth home run of the season last night. Garcia has been locked in at the plate over his last ten games, hitting at a .389 (14-for-36) clip. In the 10 games, he has 16 RBI, 10 runs, 5 home runs and 4 doubles.

Barreto is Walking the Line: With another two-walk game last night, Franklin Barreto is up to 13 walks in just 22 games this year. Barreto is hitting .277 (23-for-83) and has an on-base percentage of .378. The infielder is averaging a walk every 7.54 plate appearances. Barreto walked a career-high 36 times in 2016 when he averaged a walk every 13.59 plate appearances.

Martini to Start it Again: Outfielder Nick Martini will lead off for the Sounds for the second consec-utive game. Hitting in the leadoff spot for the first time last night, Martini responded by going 2-for-4 with a walk and three runs scored. Despite his .227 (20-for-88) batting average, Martini's on-base percentage is .407. His 28 walks lead the Pacific Coast League.

Back-to-Back for Neuse: Third baseman Sheldon Neuse has struggled in the early going but has back-to-back multi-hit games for the first time this season. Since May 1, his average has gone up from .141 to .192.

Crazy Eight: Nashville's eight-run outburst in the first inning last night is the most runs the team has scored in a single inning this year. The previous high was five in the eighth inning of the May 3rd suspended game in Colorado Springs. The last time the Sounds scored at least eight runs in a single inning was June 28, 2017 in the 4th inning of an 11-9 win against Round Rock.
