Maine Red Claws guard Levi Randolph had a team-high 21 points and hit a last-second reverse layup to lead Maine to a 96-95 win over Raptors 905 Friday afternoon at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
Maine led 50-46 at halftime, led by Randolph's 12 bench points through the first two quarters. Raptors 905's Bruno Caboclo had a 16-point first half and was four-for-seven from three-point range at that point. Raptors 905 took a 73-70 lead into the fourth quarter after a 27-20 third frame, before a back-and-forth final period ended with Randolph's last-second basket to secure the victory for the Red Claws.
In addition to Randolph's game-high 21 bench points, the Red Claws were also led offensively by Omari Johnson (18 points), Jordan Mickey (16 points) and Andre Stringer (13 points and a game-high 10 assists). Along with Caboclo's 19 total points on the day, Raptors 905 had double-digit point totals from Delon Wright (game-high 23), Ronald Roberts Jr. (16), Scott Suggs (13) and Axel Toupane (11). Roberts Jr. added a game-high 15 rebounds for his third double-double through five games played this season.
Maine led Raptors 905 in free throw percentage (83.3-53.3), while Raptors 905 held the advantage in field goal percentage (46.0-42.5), three-point percentage (43.8-39.4), points in the paint (62-34) and second-chance points (14-8). The Red Claws hit 13 three-pointers to Raptors 905's seven and 15 points from the foul line to Raptors 905's eight. Both teams had 10 fast-break points.
Raptors 905 is back in action Sunday, December 13 when the club plays host to the Westchester Knicks at Hershey Centre in Mississauga at 6 p.m.
