Last Second Shot Lifts Red Claws Past Raptors 905

Toronto, ON - Levi Randolph put in a driving basket with :01.0 remaining, lifting the Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, to a thrilling 96-95 victory over Raptors 905 in front of a large crowd at the home of the Toronto Raptors, the Air Canada Centre.

Randolph came off the bench to lead Maine with 21 points. Omari Johnson added 18 points, Jordan Mickey, on assignment from the Boston Celtics, scored 16 and grabbed 8 boards. Andre Stringer, starting for the third straight game (3-0), came close to a triple-double with 13 points, 10 assists and 6 rebounds. Raptors 905 were paced by Delon Wright (23 points) and Bruno Caboclo (19 points). Ronald Roberts, Jr. had a monster game for the 905, scoring 16 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.

The Red Claws (6-4) cruised out to an early 12-2 lead, taking a 25-21 advantage into the 2nd quarter. Stringer's lay-up at the end of the half gave Maine a 50-46 halftime lead. The 905 came back with a strong third quarter, limiting Maine to just 20 points in the period. With several second and third opportunities, Raptors 905 took a 73-70 lead into the 4th.

The final period saw several lead changes down the stretch. Down 93-90 with 1:22 to go, Mickey tipped in a shot to cut the deficit to one. After a defensive stop, Stringer nailed a baseline jumped to give Maine a 94-93 lead. After three offensive rebounds, Caboclo put in a tough shot with :04.3 left to give Raptors 905 a 95-94 lead. Out of the time out, Randolph took the ball and drove to the right side of the basket, putting his shot in off the window with :01.0 to go. The 905's final shot fell short, and Maine escaped with the narrow victory.
