(CEDAR PARK, TEXAS) - The Austin Spurs (29-12) were stopped by the Bakersfield Jam (29-11) with a 94-116 loss Saturday night on the SWBC Court inside Cedar Park Center. The Jam was led by Jerel McNeal who posted a season-high points scored (40), while the Spurs were paced by Orlando Johnson (23).
Also in double figures for Austin were Erik Murphy (19) and Jonathan Simmons (17). San Antonio Spurs assignee Kyle Anderson added 11 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
The Jam maintained the lead throughout the contest, its biggest lead reaching 25 points. Bakersfield shot 10-of-18 from three-point range and 60.3 percent for the night.
Bakersfield's leading contributors included Joe Jackson (23) and Jamil Wilson (14).
