Warren Shines in Loss to BayHawks

ERIE, PA, December 27, 2014 - T.J. Warren scored a game-high 29 points (11/22 FGs) and grabbed nine rebounds, but the Bakersfield Jam (10-7) fell to the Erie BayHawks (7-8) 118-107 Saturday night at the Erie Insurance Arena.

There were 10 ties and nine lead changes in the first half, though Erie went into the half with a 59-56 lead. Despite the Jam shooting just 37.5 percent from the floor in the third and falling behind by 10 points, the Jam entered the final frame down just 87-81. In the fourth, Bakersfield struggled to get stops and fell behind by as many as 16 points.

Overall, the Jam held the advantage in rebounds (49-48), points in the paint (58-50), and fast break points (23-17), while the BayHawks shot better from the field (51.7-41.3) and had more assists (22-15).

Tyler Ennis had 14 points and five rebounds, while Earl Barron registered a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Elijah Millsap posted 12 points, five rebounds and three steals, while Archie Goodwin added 10 points and five rebounds.

Seth Curry led the way for the BayHawks as he posted 28 points (10/13 FGs), five assists, four rebounds, and three steals. Devyn Marble, on assignment from the Orlando Magic, finished with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Drew Crawford tallied 19 points.

Both teams will meet again on Tuesday, December 30 in Erie. Tip-off is set at 4:00 p.m. PT.
