
Dash Announce Roster Moves

Winston-Salem Dash News Release
The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:
- C Kevan Smith (concussion) placed on seven-day disabled list - C/INF Brent Tanner promoted to Winston-Salem from Low-A Kannapolis
Smith heads to the disabled list after suffering a concussion in Monday's loss to Lynchburg. Smith took a foul tip directly off the mask in the fourth inning and was replaced by Martin Medina. So far this season, the University of Pittsburgh product is hitting .258 with seven home runs and 36 RBIs (eighth-most in the Carolina League).
In his 13 games with the Dash, Tanner has hit .333 and driven in three runs. During his time with Kannapolis, he hit .241 with four home runs and 14 RBIs in 20 games while splitting his playing time between first base and catcher.
