TACOMA, Wash. -Mike Zunino drove in two runs and Stefen Romero homered as the Tacoma Rainiers snuck past the Reno Aces 6-5 at Cheney Stadium on Sunday.

Tacoma jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning. Alex Liddi accounted for the game's first run after plating Carlos Triunfel with a double, and Zunino stretched the advantage to three after delivering a two-run double in the team's next at-bat.

Romero broke open a 3-3 tie with a solo home run in the bottom the third - his second of the season and the first of his career at Cheney Stadium.

The Aces held a 5-4 lead until Carlos Peguero scored the tying run on a Scott Savastano ground out in the fourth inning. Romero cleared the way for the go-ahead run in the fifth with a sacrifice fly that scored Triunfel from third.

Starter Jimmy Gillheeney (2-0) picked up his second win in his second start with Tacoma. The left-hander limited the Aces to five runs - four earned - on six hits over 6.0 innings. He struck out five Reno batters without issuing a walk.

Reliever Danny Farquhar earned the fifth save of his 2013 campaign after tossing the game's final 0.2 innings. The right-hander has now strung together 13.0 consecutive scoreless innings over his last eight appearances.

The Rainiers (20-11) host the team's fourth and final game against Reno at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow, May 6. Right-hander Andrew Carraway (3-1, 3.31) is scheduled to start for Tacoma in the finale against Aces right-hander Randall Delgado (0-3, 9.62).
