Toledo Mud Hens News Release

After a 10:35 a.m. start, the Hens' bats couldn't manage to wake up as they fell 3-0 in Columbus on Monday afternoon.

Starter Duane Below was solid for the Mud Hens, tossing 6 1/3 innings while allowing six hits and one run. However, the Clippers managed to tag Matt Hoffman and Evan Reed for runs in the seventh to jump out to a lasting 3-0 lead.

John Lindsey continued his hit streak against Columbus with a single, but the Hens managed only five hits in the effort.

The Mud Hens will look to get back on track tomorrow night when they travel to Durham to open up a four-game series with the Bulls. Jose Alvarez is scheduled to make the start for Toledo.
