Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch fell to the Rochester Americans 2-1 in overtime tonight at the War Memorial Arena.

Rochester defenseman Brayden McNabb scored the game-winner on the power play with 9.8 seconds remaining in overtime. McNabb's shot from the right circle beat Crunch netminder Riku Helenius to hand Rochester a 6-2-0-0 series advantage over the Crunch.

Helenius stopped 24 of 26 shots in the losing effort while Rochester goalie David Leggio saved 35 of 36 shots. With their second consecutive loss, the Crunch dropped to 34-16-2-4 overall and 13-9-3-2 at the War Memorial.

Rochester opened the scoring with a power-play tally halfway through the opening period. Mark Mancari's shot from the blue line made it past Helenius to give the Americans a 1-0 lead. The Crunch allowed two goals on six Rochester power plays and went one for five on their own man-advantage.

Ondrej Palat scored a power-play goal to even the score 1:18 into the third period. Palat beat Leggio with a wrist shot from the left-circle for his 11th goal of the season. Assists went to Mark Barberio and Radko Gudas.
