A third-round (78th overall) draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2006, Quick appeared in 173 games over three seasons with their AHL affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals, registering 34 points (one goal, 33 assists). On January 13, 2009, he made his NHL debut with the Lightning and skated in six total contests earning one assist.
