
Stingrays Receive Forward Robby Dee from Bakersfield

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 20 seasons of hockey in the Lowcountry and proud ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that the team has received forward Robby Dee from the Bakersfield Condors in exchange for forward Daniel Koger.
Dee, 25, appeared in 19 games with the Condors this season scoring three goals and three assists for six points. Currently in his second professional campaign, the Plymouth, Minnesota, native skated in 51 games with the Condors last season and 17 contests with the Florida Everblades totaling 48 points (24 goals, 24 assists). Prior to turning pro, Dee attended the University of Maine for four seasons adding 74 points (33 goals, 41 assists) in 126 games and was named to the 2008 Hockey East All-Academic Team. In 2005, the 6-foot-1, 183-pound forward was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the third round (86th overall) of the NHL Entry Draft.
Koger, 23, netted five goals and five assists for 10 points in 21 games with the Stingrays this season. In parts of two seasons with South Carolina, the Szekesfehervar, Hungary, native recorded 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists) in 34 games.
The Stingrays kick off a four-game road trip Friday, December 21 against the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:35 p.m. at U.S. Bank Arena and return to the Coliseum on Saturday, December 29 at 7:05 p.m. to host the Wheeling Nailers.
