TOLEDO, OH - The Detroit Red Wings have reassigned forward Andrej Nestrail (ahn-DRAY NEHS-tra-shilhl), defenseman Gleason Fournier (glee-son, four-knee-ay) to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL from the Toledo Walleye. The Griffins also recalled forward Luke Glendening. The Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned forward Philippe Paradis (PAIR-eh-dee) to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL from Toledo.
Nestrasil ranks second on Toledo in scoring with 24 points (7-17-24) in 27 contests. The 21-year-old right wing has been one of the hottest players in the ECHL, logging points in eight consecutive games (1-10-11). Nestrasil played 25 games for Grand Rapids in 2011-12, recording three goals and one assist. He shows 57 points (17-40-57) in 103 games between the Griffins and Walleye.
Glendening, who signed a one-year contract with Grand Rapids on June 19, currently stands third on Toledo with 21 points (14-7-21) in 27 games. Glendening is currently fifth in the ECHL among first year players in scoring and second in goals with 14.
Fournier has skated in nine total games so far with the Walleye this season with four penalty minutes. In 55 games with the Walleye a season ago, Fournier scored two goals with 16 assists. He has also skated in three games this year with the Griffins without a point.
Paradis appeared in five straight games with Toledo while racking up nine penalty minutes. Paradis had 44 penalty minutes in 14 contests with the IceHogs earlier this year. Last year he scored 5 goals with 11 assists in 58 games with Rockford.
The Griffins are at home this week for three games starting Wednesday night against Rochester. The IceHogs will also play three games this week starting Wednesday in Milwaukee.
