Boise, ID (12/17/12) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Monday morning that the NHL's Dallas stars have reassigned defenseman Hubert Labrie from Idaho of the ECHL to Texas of the American Hockey League.

The AHL is the highest level of minor-league hockey in North America. Idaho (ECHL) and Texas (AHL) are the primary development affiliates of the Dallas Stars.

The 21-year-old Labrie is under contract with Dallas. In 22 games with Idaho this season, Labrie has two goals, three assists, and a plus-10 rating to go along with 46 penalty minutes. The Quebec native is in his second professional season, having split last season and this season between Idaho and Texas.

The transaction leaves Ralph six active defensemen - Matt Case, Gord Baldwin, Scott Todd, Patrick Cullity, John Ryder, and Jeremie Blain. Jace Coyle is on the 21-Day Injured Reserve.

Idaho plays at Utah on Wednesday night before returning home for its final home game of the 2012 calendar year on December 22 when the Steelheads host Las Vegas at CenturyLink Arena in Boise.

Partial-season ticket plans are still available, including the 20-voucher "Flex Plan," starting at just $279 per plan. Fans receive 20 vouchers redeemable at their convenience for any game during the regular season with lower-bowl and upper-bowl options.
