The Hershey Bears defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 4-2 tonight from the Giant Center in Hershey.

Former Marlies forward Alex Berry gave Hershey a 1-0 lead at the 10:48 mark of the first period. Zach Hamill would add to Hershey's lead with a powerplay tally just over three minutes later. Toronto outshot Hershey 11-6 in the opening frame. Cameron Schilling and Jon DiSalvatore would score two goals in 45 seconds to make it 4-0 for the Bears early in the second period. Matt Frattin would tally Toronto's first goal of the night at 11:10 of the middle frame. Toronto outshot Hershey 14-9 in the second period. Mark Fraser's second goal of the season cut the lead to 4-2 just past the midway point of the third period. The Marlies would apply pressure over the last 10-minutes, but failed to beat goaltender Braden Holtby.

Toronto returns to the ice next weekend, with three games in three nights. The Marlies travel to Rochester on Friday to take on the Amerks before returning home on Saturday and Sunday for games against Rochester and Lake Erie, respectively.
