Countdown to Face-Off: K-Wings at Solar Bears

For the third straight game and for the final time in the regular season, the Kalamazoo Wings will take on the Orlando Solar Bears. Kalamazoo has dropped the first two games against Orlando by a combined score of 6-3.
The road has not been kind to the K-Wings. On the season, 2-4-0-0 away from Wings Stadium and Kalamazoo enters tonight trying to snap a season-long three-game losing streak. With 15 points, the K-Wings start the night in fourth place in the North Division.
So far the difference in the first two games against Kalamazoo for Orlando has been forward Olivier Fortier. The forward has netted four goals in two games against the K-Wings. The outburst has tied Fortier with the team lead in goals (8) scored with Nick Petersen.

Assistant captain Sam Ftorek has been leading by example. With 15 points (3 goals, 12 assists), Ftorek ranks tied for second amongst all defensemen in scoring and is tied for first amongst all blue-liners for the league lead in assists.
Boxed In
On Sunday, forward Harry Young received 10 minutes in penalties during the K-Wings 2-1 loss to Orlando. The 10 PIMs establishes a new season-high for Kalamazoo for most penalty minutes in a single-game.
Ending a Streak
Kalamazoo enters the Amway Center looking to snap a streak. The K-Wings are in the midst of a season-long three-game road losing streak.
