
Barnstormers Down Patriots 5-3

Somerset Patriots News Release
Bridgewater, NJ- The Lancaster Barnstormers defeated the Somerset Patriots 5-3 before 6,769 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday evening.
A two run base hit by Ryan Harvey in the top of the first gave Lancaster an early 2-0 lead.
Corey Smith (7) drove a two run homerun over the left field wall in the bottom half of the fourth to even the score at two for the Patriots.
A bases clearing double by Harvey in the fifth regained the lead for Lancaster and made the score 5-2.
Colin Curtis drove an RBI single up the middle in the bottom of the ninth for Somerset for the 5-3 final.
Lancaster starter John Halama (13-7) picked up the win after allowing two runs on eight hits in seven innings of work. Patriots starter Doug Arguello (6-7) suffered the loss after giving up five runs on six hits in six innings pitched. Tim Hamulack came in to pitch the ninth inning and pick up his 29th save of the season.
The 2012 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue on Saturday night when the Patriots take on the Barnstormers at 7:05 pm.
