Neal to Big Leagues, Perez Activated

The Indians today made the following roster moves involving the Akron Aeros. OF Thomas Neal has been promoted to the major leagues, INF Carlos Rojas has been placed on the DL, and C Roberto Perez has been activated from the DL.

Neal was promoted to the Indians following last night's game, and will join the Tribe for his major league debut tonight against Texas. Neal was a mid-season and post-season all star in the EL this season. He ranks third in the EL in hitting at .314. He clubbed 12 homers and drove in 51 runs, and ended his tenure in Akron with a nine-game hitting streak (12-32, .375).

Perez has been out since 8/21 with a left wrist sprain. He is hitting .214 with one home run and 31 RBI's this season. Rojas is hitting .175 in limited action since being acquired in a trade with Baltimore on 8/14.

The Aeros roster stands at 24 players.
