Dayton Dragons News Release

Dayton, Ohio - In partnership with the Kettering Health Network, the Dayton Dragons will be wearing pink wristbands on Sunday, August 26th during their game against the West Michigan Whitecaps to support Breast Cancer Awareness. In addition to the pink wristbands, Kettering Health Network and the Dragons will have additional activities on the plaza from 2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. This includes a raffle for a pink 2012 Dragons team autographed bat, blood pressure screenings, and pink roses that will be distributed to fans as they enter the ball park.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and although the team will no longer be on the field, they are sending an important message by honoring the cause and showing their support by wearing pink in one of the last home games of the season.

The Dayton Dragons will also play host to the 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at Fifth Third Field on October 20th at 10 a.m. For more information, visit www.makingstrideswalk.org/dayton.
