Grand Chute, WI - The Peoria Chiefs scored four unanswered runs to beat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 4-2 on Tuesday afternoon clinching a 3-1 series win. The win give the Chiefs their first series win on the road since June 25-27 and moves the team to 57-69 on the season, 22-35 in the second half.

The Chiefs allowed two unearned runs on Monday night and errors plagued them again in the bottom of the first Tuesday afternoon. With two outs Ben McMahan hit a grounder to third that got through Dustin Geiger for an error. Cameron Garfield took advantage with a double to left off Jeff Antigua for a 1-0 Rattlers lead.

Wisconsin added to the lead with help of another error in the third. Chad Stang singled off the glove of Antigua with one out. Brandon Macias singled to right and as Stang took third, the throw was cut off on the infield. Macias was hung up between first and second as Stang broke for home. The throw from first baseman Jacob Rogers hit Stang who scored as the ball bounced toward the Chiefs dugout with Macias taking third.

The Chiefs finally got on the board against Mark Williams in the top of the sixth. Sergio Burruel led off with his second hit of the game, a single to right. With one down Tim Saunders singled off his former college teammate and Burruel moved to second. Saunders out at second on a fielder's choice and Jorge Soler got the Chiefs on the board with a RBI infield single. Williams got out of the inning with a 2-1 Wisconsin lead as Chadd Krist popped up to shortstop to strand two runners.

Peoria pushed head with a two-out rally in the seventh against reliever Stosh Wawrzasek. Wes Darvill singled to right-center to start the rally and stole second to get into scoring position. Burruel's third hit of the game tied the score at 2-2 as his single to left easily plated Darvill. With Burruel to second on the throw home, Chen singled up the middle and the Rattlers catcher couldn't handle the throw home as the Chiefs took a 3-2 lead.

Another Wisconsin error helped the Chiefs add a ninth inning insurance run. Lefty Michael Strong walked Oliver Zapata to start the inning and the Chiefs outfielder stole second. Zapata moved to third on a groundout by Darvill. Burruel grounded back to the mound and Zapata broke for the plate, scoring as the Rattlers botched the rundown between third and home. Burruel, safe at first on the play, stole second before Chen drew a walk. Michael White came out of the Rattlers bullpen and got Saunders to bounce into an inning-ending 4-6-3 double play.

Antigua threw a season-high 5 2/3 innings with two runs allowed on five hits. Only one of the runs was earned and Antigua struck out five. Austin Reed (5-8) threw 2 1/3 shutout innings with one hit allowed and one strikeout. Larry Suarez picked up his fourth save with a perfect ninth inning.

Casey's General Store Player of the Game - Sergio Burruel (C) - Burruel matched a career high with three hits, two singles and a double. He drove in a run, scored twice and stole a base for the first time since May 2, 2011.
