TinCaps Playoff Tickets On-Sale Wednesday

Fort Wayne, IN - The Fort Wayne TinCaps are making 2012 Midwest League Playoff tickets available for purchase this coming Wednesday, August 22nd at 9:00am (EST) in anticipation of the TinCaps qualifying for a playoff position.

"The team is currently ahead of both Lake County and South Bend in the race for the playoffs," stated TinCaps President, Mike Nutter. "The team is leading in the standings with only 14 total games remaining in the season. While the team hasn't yet officially clinched a spot, we wanted to give fans a chance to reserve their tickets as we anticipate post-season games."

The first TinCaps home playoff game would be Wednesday, September 5th with a 7:05pm start time as well as being a WebKinz(tm) Wednesday. "We will continue our popular WebKinz(tm) giveaway for children 14 and under for this potential Wednesday playoff game," said Nutter. "The first game will include many of the TinCaps great in-game promotions and entertainment."

Wednesday morning also marks the start of availability for popular group outing areas, including concourse suites, picnic pavilion, and more. Ticket minimums apply for group areas and pricing, based on availability.

Additional playoff games, dates, and times will be announced and available for purchase as soon as they are known, which in many instances may be short notice. "That's part of the fun of the playoffs," said Nutter. "You don't know where, when, or even if you'll be playing from day to day. You never know what will happen, that's what's so great about post-season baseball!"

TinCaps season ticket holder locations will be held for potential purchase until August 29th, at which point they will be released for general public purchase.

Tickets for the Fort Wayne TinCaps potential first home playoff game (Wednesday, September 5th at 7:05pm) go on sale this Wednesday, August 22nd at 9:00am (EST). Tickets can be purchased by phone at (260) 482-6400, at the Parkview Field Ticket Office, or by logging on to TinCaps.com.

In the event that the playoff game is not played refunds/credit will be available for purchased tickets.
