Appleton, Wis. - In what could potentially be a 2012 Midwest League Western Division playoff matchup, the Clinton LumberKings and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have played a one-sided 15 games this year. Clinton lost for the 12th time to Wisconsin as they dropped a 7-4 decision on Monday night at Time Warner Cable Field.

Seon-Gi Kim's first inning struggles continued as Wisconsin got two runs in the opening inning and they never trailed in the game. Clinton cut the lead to 2-1 in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Kevin Rivers but Wisconsin would push the lead back to two runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Down 3-1, Guillermo Pimentel bounced into a 4-6 fielder's choice, bringing home Jabari Blash to again cut the lead to one run. Josh Corrales pitched a 1-2-3 inning in the sixth inning, his first inning of relief, but ran into trouble in the seventh.

Max Walla walked to lead off the inning and moved to second on Brandon Macias' single. Ben McMahan bounced out to third, moving both runners up 90 feet. Clinton elected to intentionally walk Nick Ramirez but the move backfired when Greg Hopkins lined a single to left, scoring Walla and Macias to make it 5-2. Corrales then hit Mike Garza and then John Taylor hit Rafael Neda to force in the third run of the inning. Taylor induced a 5-2 fielder's choice from Yadiel Rivera and struck out Chadwin Stang to limit the damage.

Clinton picked up a single tally in the eighth inning on a RBI single by Mike Dowd and got a solo home run from Dillon Hazlett in the ninth but the effort fell short. Clinton has won seven of their last nine series with both losses coming against Wisconsin.

The LumberKings have their last off day of the regular season on Tuesday and pick up action in Kane County for a three-game series beginning Wednesday. The LumberKings send right-hander Jordan Pries (1-0, 2.65) to the mound to face Kane County right-hander Angel Baez (6-4, 3.25). First pitch is scheduled for 6:30.
