Silver Hawks and Captains Postponed

South Bend Silver Hawks News Release


Monday's game between the South Bend Silver Hawks and the Lake County Captains at Coveleski Stadium has been postponed due to inclement weather. Since it is the final scheduled meeting between the two teams at Coveleski Stadium, the game will be made up as part of a double-header on Thursday, August 23 at Classic Park, the home of the Lake County Captains. The Silver Hawks play a three-game series with the Captains August 22-24.

The Silver Hawks trail the Captains by one game in the eastern division wild card standings.

Game tickets that were purchased for the August 13 game will be good for any regular season game later in the season and may be exchanged at the Coveleski Stadium Box Office for a ticket of equal or lesser value subject to availability for the 2012 season.

The Silver Hawks resume play Wednesday when the West Michigan Whitecaps come to Coveleski Stadium to begin a three-game series. Archie Bradley (10-5, 3.86) is slated to start for South Bend and he will be opposed by right-hander Brennan Smith (2-4, 3.82).
