Reno Aces News Release

RENO, Nev.-A quality start for Barry Enright and a three-run home run for Cole Gillespie pushed the Reno Aces to a 7-3 victory over the Las Vegas 51s in front of a sellout crowd Tuesday night at Aces Ballpark.

With the victory, the Aces earned a 3-1 series victory over Las Vegas and finish the final homestand of the season's unofficial first half with a 5-2 mark. The 9,458 fans in attendance marked the third-largest crowd in ballpark history and the Aces' 15th all-time sellout.

The 51s pushed across three runs in the third to take an early lead, and the Aces offense couldn't solve Las Vegas starter Jamie Moyer early. But Reno finally came alive, scoring four runs in the fifth and adding three more in the sixth to earn another come-from-behind victory.

Enright (7-5) scattered three runs on just six hits to notch the victory. After his exit, the trio of Sam Demel, Joe Paterson and Jensen Lewis held the 51s hitless over the game's final three frames.

Moyer (1-1) took the loss, surrendering seven runs on 10 hits over six innings of work. He walked two and struck out three in a 107-pitch effort.

At the plate for Reno, Gillespie gave the Aces the lead in the fifth with an opposite field home run-his eighth of the season and fourth on the homestand. Jake Elmore, Ryan Wheeler and Taylor Harbin collected two hits apiece.

The Aces now hit the road for five-straight in Colorado Springs before hitting the All-Star Break. In Wednesday's series opener, LHP Zach Kroenke (5-1, 4.68 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while the Sky Sox will counter with RHP Guillermo Moscoso (4-3, 5.54 ERA). First pitch from Security Service Field is set for 6:05 p.m. PT.

The Aces will return to Aces Ballpark on July 12 to take-on the Salt Lake Bees. Tickets are on-sale now at RenoAces.com, by calling (775) 334-7000 or by visiting the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office.
