
Cody Johnson Placed on Thunder DL

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced Friday that OF Cody Johnson has been placed on the disabled list with left hamstring tightness. His spot will be taken by C Jeff Farnham, who has been activated from the DL. Johnson left Wednesday night's game against Richmond in the fourth inning after legging out an infield single.
The 23-year-old leads the Eastern League with 16 home runs, is fourth in extra-base hits (28) and fifth in slugging percentage (.520). He has reached base safely in 52 of his 59 games played this season.
