----- Tonight, the SeaWolves continue a seven-game homestand as they begin a four game series with the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) at Jerry Uht Park. Thursday afternoon, the 'Wolves dropped the series finale to Bowie 8-5. The loss gave the 'Wolves their third consecutive home series loss. Erie's last winning series at home was May 25-28, taking three of four from Akron...The SeaWolves enter play today at .500, in a third place tie with Richmond in the Western Division, a half game behind second place Harrisburg...The Mets have won two straight following a 4-2 win over Akron on Thursday. Binghamton is in fourth place in the Eastern Division, seven games back of first place Reading... Lefty Kelvin De La Cruz makes his 15th appearance, 13th start and third appearance against the Mets. He is 0-1 in his previous two appearances against Binghamton (one start and one relief appearance). De La Cruz tossed the first nine-inning complete game of his career in his last start at New Britain on June 15. In the game, he allowed two runs on six hits with two walk and four strikeouts. Erie won the game 5-2...LHP Darin Gorski takes the mound for Binghamton making his 13th appearance, 12th start and first appearance against Erie. Gorski took a loss in his last start against Altoona. He allowed six runs on 10 hits with no walks and five strikeouts in five innings of work. Gorski has not allowed a walk in his last two starts.
