
Zoilo Almonte and Jose Pirela Activated; OF Brewer Back to DL

Trenton Thunder News Release
(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced Thursday that OF Zoilo Almonte and INF Jose Pirela have been activated from the disabled list. In addition, OF Dan Brewer (hand) has been placed on the disabled list for the second time this season.
Almonte, a member of the Yankees' 40-man roster, missed the team's last 29 games with hamstring spasms . Pirela had been out since the season-opening homestand after being hit by a pitch on April 11th. Brewer is the third player this week to be placed on the team's DL, bringing the season total to 16 DL stints.
