(Manchester, NH) - Mikey O'Brien tossed seven three-hit innings in his Double-A debut and Trenton hit two first inning home runs as the Thunder topped the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 7-1, Friday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. O'Brien (1-0), who was promoted from the Tampa Yankees before the game, allowed only one run in a sharp outing.

O'Brien was handed a four-run lead before he took to the mound as the Thunder scored four runs against Fisher Cats' starter Yohan Pino (3-1) in the top of the first. Corban Joseph homered with one out, his second of the season to put Trenton on the board. Then after Luke Murton walked, Cody Johnson slammed his league-leading tenth long ball of the season, another long bomb that gave him four homers in his last five games played.

Pino allowed seven runs (six earned) in five innings, as the Thunder added two in the fourth and another in the fifth on Yadil Mujica's RBI double. Brian Van Kirk homered in the fourth to provide New Hampshire with its lone run of the night.

Joseph, Mujica and Kevin Mahoney each had a pair of Trenton's nine hits. Kelvin Perez threw two scoreless innings to finish the victory.

Game two of the series will be Saturday night with first pitch slated for 7:05 pm at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Right-hander Adam Miller (no record) will make his Thunder debut and start the game, while righty Randy Boone (0-2) will pitch for New Hampshire. Radio coverage on 91.3 FM (WTSR) and also streaming online begins at 6:50 pm.
