Royals and Fans Ready to Bring the Blue this Week

March 26, 2012 - Western Hockey League (WHL) Victoria Royals

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals host the Kamloops Blazers in Game 3 of the Kal Tire WHL Western Conference quarter final series tomorrow night at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Game 4 is scheduled for Wednesday, March 28. Puck drop for both games is set for 7:05 p.m.

Royals' fans are asked to 'BRING THE BLUE' in support of the team as they face the Blazers in Game 3.

Tuesday, March 27

Tuesday night's game marks the return of WHL playoff hockey to the capital region as the Royals host the Blazers in Game 3 of their best-of-seven quarter final series. The first 4,000 fans through the door will receive a Royals' Blue Playoff Rally Towel to help cheer on the team and 'BRING THE BLUE'.

During the first intermission, fans in attendance will have the chance to play Dodgeball presented by Alex Burns & Associates, with the winners each receiving a complimentary zip tour from AdrenaLINE Zipline Adventure Tours.

The second intermission will see the ENEX Fuels Sumo Sprint, with the winners each receiving two complimentary zip tours from AdrenaLINE Zipline Adventure Tours.

Alex Burns & Associates will be taking entries in the concourse for a team-signed Victoria Royals jersey until the end of the second intermission. Entries will be taken at a table at Gate 1, with the winner's name announced during the third period.

Tuesday night's game will also see a Chuck-A-Puck contest held in support of the Victoria Devils Peewee Baseball team. There are three prizes to be won, including a one night stay and spa treatment for two at the Old House Village, a $400 Golf Vancouver Island gift card, and a gas-powered blower courtesy of Richlock Rentals. A 50/50 draw will also take place to benefit the View Royal Elementary PAC.

Wednesday, March 28

The Victoria Royals host the Kamloops Blazers in Game 4 of their Western Conference Quarterfinal Series on Wednesday night at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. The first 3,000 fans will receive a Royals' Blue Playoff Rally Towel when they arrive.

Fans in attendance have the chance to compete in the itgroove Frozen T-Shirt Thaw Off during the first intermission of Wednesday night's game with the chance to win complimentary tour from AdrenaLINE Zipline Adventure Tours.

The second intermission will feature Coke Zero Crunch Time, with participants vying for a Coke Zero hoodie and lithograph.

The 50/50 draw on Wednesday night will be in support of Lake Hill Baseball, while the Chuck-A-Puck contest benefits the Victoria Devils U-12 Fastball team. There are two prizes to be won, including a one night stay and spa treatment for two at the Old House Village and a $400 Golf Vancouver Island gift card.

Royals' 'Uptown Playoff Combos' are still available for purchase at the Select Your Tickets box office located at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. For $50, fans are able to purchase four playoff tickets to either Game 3 or Game 4 of the Royals' first round playoff series against the Kamloops Blazers on Tuesday, March 27th or Wednesday, March 28th. The combo also includes a Royals' rally towel and a gift voucher redeemable for a $10 gift card at Uptown until April 30th. Single game tickets for the 2012 WHL Playoffs are still available for purchase at the Select Your Tickets box office located at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
