BOISE, Idaho, March 23, 2012 - Willie Jenkins (6-6, 222, Tennessee Tech) was re-acquired by the Idaho Stampede, the club announced today.
Jenkins (b. 12/20/1981) has played 18 games this season (9 starts) and is averaging 7.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Jenkins was the only Stampede player to play in all 50 games in 2010-11, and averaged 7.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
To make room on the roster, three-time NBA All-Star Antoine Walker has been waived due to personal reasons. Walker will miss Friday's game versus the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, while attending to business obligations in Chicago but could re-join the team after that.
