
Monarchs Announce Pair of Moves

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have released left wing Chris Cloud and defenseman Joe Charlebois from their professional tryout agreements, Manchester's Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Cloud, 23, made his American Hockey League debut with the Monarchs on Wednesday, December 14 against the Portland Pirates. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound native of Waywayseecappo, Manitoba has appeared in 10 games for the Monarchs this season tallying zero points and 19 penalty minutes. The left wing has skated in 23 games for the ECHL's Ontario Reign this season recording 10 points (5-510) and 98 penalty minutes. Cloud spent the 2010-11 season with the Tulsa Oilers and the Bloomington Prairie Thunder of the Central Hockey League. He recorded zero points and 25 penalty minutes in eight games with Tulsa and 13 points (2-1113) and career-highs with 103 penalty minutes and a plus-8 rating in 53 games with Bloomington.
Charlebois, 25, has remained scoreless through 11 games and two stints with the Monarchs this season. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound native of Potsdam, New York has also appeared in 28 games for the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings this season where he has tallied six points (0-66) and 21 penalty minutes. Last season, Charlebois split the season between the ECHL's Toledo Walleye and the Wings. The defenseman collected one point (1-01) and 28 penalty minutes in 18 games with the Walleye, as well as 16 points (0-1616) and 48 penalty minutes in 46 games with the Wings. In 127 games with the University of New Hampshire Wildcats over four seasons (2004-09), Charlebois recorded 27 points (3-2427) and 161 penalty minutes.
