Milwaukee, WI- Prior to Sunday's American Hockey League All-Star Classic, the Milwaukee Admirals (40 Games Played, 22-16-1-1-46 points, 3rd place Midwest Division, 7th place Western Conference, 15th place AHL) will play a pair of Midwest Division games this weekend starting Friday night at home against Chicago (43 GP, 23-16-1-3-50 points, 2nd place Midwest Division, 6th place Western Conference, 11th place AHL) followed by a road contest at Rockford (44 GP, 18-21-1-4-41 points, 5th place Midwest Division, 15th place Western Conference, 29th place AHL) on Saturday.

Tonight's game will mark the Admirals ninth meeting of the season with the Wolves, and Milwaukee's first home game since Jan. 15 (a 3-2 loss in overtime against Lake Erie). Each team has won four games in the series, but Chicago owns the upper hand in the tiebreaker because one Admirals victory came in a shootout (Milwaukee defeated Chicago 3-2 on Oct. 15). In the teams' most recent meeting Chicago dumped the Admirals 2-1 at Allstate Arena on Jan. 13, but the Admirals took the last contest at Bradley Center registering a 4-2 decision on Dec. 28. Milwaukee captain Scott Ford (Fort St. John, British Columbia) scored the game winning goal at 13:10 of the second period, while Admirals goaltender Jeremy Smith (Dearborn, Michigan) made 28 saves, Chicago forward Bill Sweatt scored the difference maker at 18:59 of the second period in the teams' latest battle.

Saturday night Milwaukee will travel just south of the Wisconsin border for their second meeting in six days with Rockford and fifth of 12 between the two teams this season. In last Sunday's contest Rockford came away with a 2-1 victory at the BMO Harris Center, thanks to a pair of goals by Ice Hogs leading scorer Brandon Pirri, including the game winning goal on a power play at 8:17 of the second period. Rockford goaltender Carter Hutton made 33 saves to earn the victory, while Smith stopped 24 pucks to take the loss. To date the Ice Hogs lead the season series with a 2-1-0-1 record so far. Milwaukee's two victories came on Dec. 11 (5-4 in shootout) and on Dec. 26 (7-3), both at the Bradley Center.

Starting with Sunday afternoon's Skills Competition, Admirals forward Chris Mueller (Buffalo, New York) will represent Milwaukee in the 2012 AHL All-Star Classic at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Current Nashville Predators defenseman Ryan Ellis (Hamilton, Ontario) was also selected for the game, but had to decline the invitation due to his recall on December 26.
