
Griffins Set for "Reds, Whites and Brews" Benefit for Easter Seals

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins will hang up their skates for an evening and support Easter Seals Michigan on Monday, Feb. 20 for the inaugural Reds, Whites and Brews wine and beer tasting benefit at the Goei Center.
Griffins players will serve craft beer and wine samples to nearly 150 guests at the event, which will also feature live music, hors d'oeuvres by YoChef's Catering Company, and silent and live auctions. Items up for bid include tickets to a Detroit Red Wings game, an authentic Red Wings practice jersey, and lunch with a Griffins player.
"We are proud to add Easter Seals Michigan to the ever-growing list of local organizations that the Griffins and our players support," said vice president of community relations and broadcasting Bob Kaser. "This will be an exciting event for hockey fans and beverage enthusiasts alike, and we look forward to helping raise much-needed funds and awareness for Easter Seals and the children and families it serves."
The event will run from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Goei Center (818 Butterworth St. SW). Tickets are on sale now for $30 (or two for $50) at essmichigan.org or by phone at (616) 942-2081.
Easter Seals Michigan is the leading nonprofit provider of services for individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, emotional impairments, autism and other special needs. Founded in 1920, the Easter Seals has been helping those with special needs, and their families, live better lives for over 90 years. Through therapy, training and education, Easter Seals reaches over one million children and adults through their nationwide network of 450 service sites.
