Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

THIS PAST WEEK:

About Last Saturday at Kalamazoo: Brandon Svendsen scored twice and Kory Karlander tallied an empty net goal as the Wings defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones by a 3-1 final score at Wings Stadium. Cyclones rookie forward Garrett Wilson tallied his first professional goal in a losing effort while Chet Pickard made 30 saves in his 2011-12 debut.

SHOTS FROM THE POINT:

Looking to Dethrone the Royals: This week, the Cyclones will battle the Reading Royals in a rematch of the 2011 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The last time Cincinnati was at the Sovereign Center, the Royals knocked off the Cyclones in double-OT. All time, Cincinnati is 30-15-5-4 vs. Reading...and 15-7-3-0 at Sovereign Center.

Milestone Goal for "Willie": Cyclones rookie forward Garrett Wilson scored his first professional goal on Saturday at Kalamazoo. It is the fifth time in the last six seasons that a Cincinnati rookie has scored his first pro goal in his pro debut.

The 100 Club: Cincinnati forward Matt McIlvane will play in his 100th game as a professional this Saturday against the Reading Royals. However it will only be his second-ever ECHL game.

Clash with the Titans: This Sunday, the Cyclones will face the Trenton Titans for the first time this season. Over the last five years, the Cyclones own a 22-12-2-0 record vs. the Titans/Devils and are 14-5-1-0 at the Sun Center.
