Rogelio Noris doubled home the go-ahead run in the 10th inning and the West Virginia Power went on to beat the Lexington Legends 7-5 Wednesday afternoon.
West Virginia opened the scoring in the second when Cole White led off with a home run to left-center.
The Legends countered with three in their half of the second. After Telvin Nash walked and Tyler Burnett singled, Ben Heath doubled to center to score both runners. Heath advanced to third on Emilio King's groundout and scored on Ben Orloff's single to give the Legends a 3-1 lead.
Lexington added one in the fourth. With one out, Bryce Lane singled. He stole second, and advanced to third on Delino DeShields Jr.'s ground out. Enrique Hernandez singled to left to score Lane.
A two-run homer by West Virginia's Mel Rojas Jr. in the fifth cut the lead to one at 4-3. Rojas was 4-for-5 in the game with a homer, a triple and two singles.
In the bottom of the sixth, Orloff led off with a single, stole second and scored on two wild pitches to give the Legends a two-run margin.
The Power came back in the eighth. White led off with a walk, and advanced to second on a single by Kawika Emsley-Pai. White was thrown out at third on Eric Avila's failed sacrifice bunt, but Mort singled to load the bases.
Noris grounded out to score Emsley-Pai, leaving the Legends with a 5-4 lead. The Power tied the game in the ninth on Rojas' triple and Justin Howard's double.
In the 10th, with two out, Mort reached on an error by Hernandez at third base. He scored on Noris' double to left. Noris scored when Drew Maggi's fly ball was dropped by right fielder Adam Bailey.
The Legends put two runners on with one out in the bottom of the 10th, but could not score.
Justin Ennis (1-1) got the win after throwing two scoreless innings. David Martinez (3-3) took the loss after allowing two unearned runs in the 10th.
The Legends now travel to Hickory for a four game series beginning Thursday evening. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
