(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the 2010 Midwest League Champions and Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, return home for a six-game home stand beginning Friday as the West Michigan Whitecaps and the Ft. Wayne Tincaps make their first appearances at Classic Park this season.
The Captains continue Military May, presented by Lake County Speedway, as military members, their family and friends will receive $5 box seat tickets with a valid military ID for every game this month.
Friday is a Fireworks Friday as fans will enjoy a post-game fireworks extravaganza presented by Larmco Windows and Siding.
Saturday is the first of nine Saturday Fireworks nights presented by Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The first 1,500 fans will receive a reusable Captains primary logo sticker presented by Mentor Signs and Graphics. This is the first in a series of four reusable sticker giveaways this season featuring each of the Captains new team identity logos.
Saturday is also Star Wars night as the Captains host many Star Wars-Themed events at Classic Park, including a pre-game costume contest and appearances by Star Wars character impersonators. Kids that dress up have the opportunity to participate in themed in-game promotions. Sunday is the first Andrews Osborne Academy Family Fun Sunday and will feature a pre-game player autograph session, expanded concourse entertainment and activities, an enhanced Kids' Zone area with new inflatables and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game.
The home stand will continue on Tuesday with another Bark in the Park night, presented by Marc's Doggie Rewards, when fans can bring their canine friends to Classic Park. Dog owners can purchase $5 pooch passes, from which a portion of the proceeds will benefit Marc's Doggie Rewards. The Captains will offer $1 hot dogs on Tuesday nights to complete the dog theme. The team is also presenting a special ticket offer from KRAFT Singles as fans can buy one ticket and get a ticket free when they bring a KRAFT singles wrapper to the Classic Park box office. Another partner of the Captains, the Ohio Lottery, is also offering Captains fans an opportunity for discounted tickets on Tuesday nights. If fans bring a non-winning Ohio Lottery ticket to the box office they will receive a $2 discount off a regularly priced box seat.
