
Gwinnett Braves and American Cancer Society Team Up For Family Run 5K on Saturday, May 14

The Gwinnett Braves and the American Cancer Society are teaming up to host a Family Fun Run 5K on Saturday, May 14 at the Gwinnett Braves Coolray Field.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. for the 8 a.m. 5K race. A one-mile run will start at 8:10 a.m. The cost to participate is $30 per runner, with a discount to $20 a runner for running clubs. Also, the entire family can participate with just one $30 registration fee. The course begins in the parking lot of Gwinnett Braves field and finishes on the Coolray Field playing surface. All proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society.
"This is a great opportunity for Gwinnett County families to come out and have fun while raising awareness and funds for a great cause - fighting cancer," said Bill Manson, the Society's Area Executive Director for Gwinnett and Hall counties. "We are very grateful to the Gwinnett Braves for partnering with us for this event."
"We are pleased to be working with the American Cancer Society to host the family fun run and to help advance the fight against cancer in Gwinnett County," said North Johnson, general manager of the Gwinnett Braves. "We urge everyone to come out and join us on May 14 and have a wonderful time while literally taking steps against cancer."
