Americans Announce 2011 WHL First Round Playoff Series

KENNEWICK, WA - After wrapping up the 2010-11 regular season with a fifth straight season of 40+ wins and 90+ points, the Tri-City Americans are pleased to announce their first round schedule for the upcoming 2011 WHL Playoffs.

Tri-City will match-up with their B.C. Division rivals, the Vancouver Giants in the first round, best-of-seven series. It will be a rematch of the 2010 Western Conference Finals, where the Americans secured their first Western Conference Championship after winning the series 4 games to 2. Tri-City won the 2010-11 season series vs. the Giants 3 games to 1.

Games 1 and 2 will be played at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, starting on Friday, March 26th. Game times are 7:05 p.m. Fans are encouraged to check the Americans' website, www.amshockey.com, in the coming days for further playoff information. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, March 21, through all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Toyota Center box office, all Fred Meyer outlets, or online at ticketmaster.com.
