Goldwire Leads Way For Skyforce

Bismarck, ND - Leemire Goldwire led the way for Sioux Falls Skyforce (1-2) as they defeat the Dakota Wizards (0-4) 88-77 at the Bismarck Civic Center. Goldwire scored 32 points and was a perfect 12-12 from the charity stripe. Anthony Mason Jr. contributed a double-double scoring 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

The Wizards trailed at the end of the first quarter 24-20 but managed to outscore the Skyforce 29-20 in the second quarter to lead at the break 49-44. Chris Johnson scored 16 of his 25 points to lead the way for the Wizards in the first half.

The score was tied at 63-63 at the end of the third and the Skyforce would flex their muscle in the fourth quarter by going on a 22-0 run to close out the game. Goldwire scored 13 of his game high 32 points to pace the Skyforce in the fourth quarter.

Chris Johnson led the way for the Wizards with a double-double scoring 25 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Willie Kemp reached double figures for the first time this season scoring 16 points.

The same two teams will square off tomorrow in Sioux Falls as Dakota will try to avenge tonight's loss in the Skyforce home opener
