Tulsa 66ers Add Ryan Reid to Roster, Waive Stevenson
November 26, 2010 - NBA G League (G League)
Tulsa 66ers News Release
TULSA, Okla., Nov. 26, 2010 - The Tulsa 66ers have acquired forward Ryan Reid via the available player pool the team announced today. Reid, 6-8/235, will be added to the 66ers roster for this weekend's games, Nov. 26th and 27th, against Iowa. Additionally, the team announced it has waived forward Perry Stevenson.
Stevenson averaged 1.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in Tulsa's two games this season.
Reid was originally drafted in the second round of the 2010 NBA Draft (57th overall) by the Indiana Pacers. His draft rights were traded to Oklahoma City on draft night and was on the Thunder summer league team this past July.
"We are excited to have Ryan Reid join the 66ers team," Tulsa head coach Nate Tibbetts said. "He brings a toughness and a defensive attitude that will be a huge asset for our team moving forward."
A four-year letter winner at Florida State, Reid became one of only three players in school history to reach the postseason in all four years. While at FSU the Seminoles made NCAA Tournament appearances in 2009 and 2010 and to the NIT in 2007 and 2008. Reid was a part of more wins - 88 - than any player in school history and played in a school record 38 ACC wins during his four-year career. Overall, he appeared in 126 games (66 starts) and averaged 5.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in 20.2 minutes per contests.
