New Jersey Nets Assign Williams to NBA D-League Affiliate Springfield Armor

NEW YORK, Nov. 26, 2010 - New Jersey Nets guard/forward Terrence Williams was assigned to the Springfield Armor, the Nets' NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced today. The assignment marks the eighth time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Williams, a second-year player out of Louisville.

Williams (6-6, 220), who will remain on the Nets' inactive list, has appeared in eight games for the Nets this season, averaging 6.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. In 86 career games with New Jersey, Williams has averaged 8.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

The Nets' first-round draft choice (11th overall) in the 2009 NBA Draft, Williams averaged 11.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 140 games over a four-year career at Louisville. A three-time All-Big East player with the Cardinals, Williams was also named to the AP All-America Third Team as a senior.
