B-Sens Sign Defenseman Patrick Coulombe

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have signed defenseman Patrick Coulombe to a professional try-out contract.

The St. Fabien, Quebec native has appeared in nine games with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL this season, recording eight points (one goal and seven assists) and two penalty minutes.

Coulombe, 25, spent the 2009-10 season with the ECHL's Victoria Salmon Kings. In 51 games with Victoria, Coulombe scored nine goals and added 17 assists for 26 points, while recording 43 penalty minutes. Additionally he led the Salmon Kings in plus-minus with plus-14.

Coulombe, in his fifth professional season has appeared in seven National Hockey League games with the Vancouver Canucks registering one assist and adding four penalty minutes.

The 5-9, 163-pound Coulombe spent parts of two seasons with the Manitoba Moose, registering nine points (three goals, six assists) and 22 penalty minutes in 46 regular season games.

The B-Sens return to the ice tonight as they host the Adirondack Phantoms. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $17.75 for side seating, $16.75 for end seating.
