Calgary Stampeders News Release

The Calgary Stampeders head to Edmonton on Friday, Sept. 10 for the second half of their annual home-and-home series with the Eskimos. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. MDT at Commonwealth Stadium.

Friday's game will be the third meeting between the two clubs in the past four weeks. The Stamps took the first two contests, both at McMahon Stadium, winning 56-15 on Aug. 15 and 52-5 in Monday's Labour Day Classic.

The Stampeders sit atop the West Division with a record of 8-1 and are riding a six-game winning streak, the club's longest since the 1995 season when Calgary had a pair of seven-game winning streaks. The Eskimos are 2-7 on the season and have lost their last five games against the Stamps.

With 85 yards rushing against the Eskimos on Labour Day, Stamps running back Joffrey Reynolds now has 8,242 yards for his career and needs 51 yards to surpass Kelvin Anderson for first place on the Stamps' all-time career rushing list.

The next home game for the Stamps is on Saturday, Sept. 25 against the BC Lions. It's the annual PinkPower game in support of the Canadian Cancer Society and kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available by contacting the Stampeders' Ticket Office (403-289-0258 or toll free at 1-800-667-3267), Ticketmaster (403-777-0000 or online at Ticketmaster.ca) or by visiting any local Safeway or Sport Chek location.
