BRP Becomes the Official Recreational Vehicle Sponsor of the CFL
Published on September 8, 2010 under Canadian Football League (CFL) News Release
Valcourt, Quebec, September 8, 2010 - BRP takes to the field in 2010 as part of an exciting new sponsorship with the Canadian Football League (CFL) and will launch a promotion through its Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo, Evinrude and Can-Am brands to get CFL fans on the road to the sold-out 98th Grey Cup in Edmonton.
BRP products will be prominently displayed at CFL games across the country, notably the last three home games for each team. At each game, Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Can-Am all-terrain and side-by-side vehicles, and Spyder roadsters will be on display, allowing fans to get an up-close look at the latest BRP products that provide an ultimate ride.
As part of its sponsorship activities, BRP will be launching for CFL fans "The Ride to the Grey Cup" contest in the fall of 2010. Prizes include a VIP trip to see the 98th Grey Cup in Edmonton, a choice of a BRP vehicle and a pair of 2011 CFL season tickets. By simply dropping off a certificate at a participating BRP dealership, fans will automatically be registered for a chance to win "The Ride to the Grey Cup" contest. Please visit www.theultimateplayground.com for contest rules and details. "Being a sponsor of the CFL and the Grey Cup really hits home for BRP. Our recreational vehicles are very similar to a CFL football player; they are tough and powerful yet nimble and swift," declared Yves Leduc, vice-president and general manager of the North America division. "Furthermore, CFL fans and powersport enthusiasts share the same passion for adrenaline, be it on the field, riding off road, on road, on water or on snow. It makes sense to partner together".
"It truly is a natural fit for the CFL and BRP to partner together," said CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon. "Both organizations have such rich histories in Canada and continue to be deeply rooted in communities across the country. BRP is another great Canadian brand that will be with us in Edmonton to celebrate the sold-out 98th Grey Cup with our millions of fans from around the nation."
