
Loons Announce Playoff Schedule and Promotions

MIDLAND, MI - With the season winding down, the Great Lakes Loons are gearing up for the franchise's second trip to the Midwest League (MWL) postseason, which begins on September 8.
To usher in the spirit of the postseason, the Loons will host a Playoff Kickoff Party at Pizza Sam's on Main Street in downtown Midland on Tuesday, September 7 at 6:00 p.m. Great Lakes Loons players will be in attendance to mingle with guests and sign autographs. The event, scheduled to last until 8:00, will feature a live radio remote hosted by Loons play-by-play broadcaster Brad Golder of ESPN 100.9 FM.
From the event at Pizza Sam's, the Loons will board the team bus and hit the road for Game 1. Great Lakes will play either the Fort Wayne TinCaps or the West Michigan Whitecaps in round one of the MWL playoffs. With still five days of regular-season games remaining, the Loons will play Fort Wayne with either a TinCaps win or Whitecaps loss.
Dow Diamond will host Game 2 of the playoffs on Thursday, September 9 and will bring in special guest, Rall E. Camel, to help encourage the Loons to victory. Following the game will be a Fireworks Loontacular powered by Dow Corning. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
The Great Lakes Loons are also pleased to announce $1 Family Feast Nights throughout the postseason, presented by Chemical Bank. During all Loons home playoff games, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs, ice cream sandwiches, and 16 oz. Coke products courtesy of Chemical Bank.
Dow Diamond will host Game 3 on Friday, if necessary. After the initial round, the Midwest League has its best-of-three Divisional Championship Series from September 11-13, followed by the best-of-five League Championship Series from September 15-20.
