PawSox Win in Eleven Innings, 7-4

Ryan Shealy hammered a three run homer in the eleventh inning on Friday night in Toledo, powering the Pawtucket Red Sox to a 7-4 victory. Shealy's blast was part of a 4 home run barrage unleashed by the Sox.

The PawSox blew leads of 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2 in the ballgame. The first lead came in the third on a solo homer by Lars Anderson. The second came in the fifth on a solo blast by Jack Hannahan and the third lead came in the sixth on yet another solo homer by Dusty Brown. Trailing 4-3 in the eighth, Brown doubled and scored on a clutch single by Aaron Bates. For Toledo, Justin Henry had 2 hits and 2 RBI and Casper Wells hit a solo home run. The two teams battled until Shealy clubbed the 3 run moon shot over the left field fence to give the PawSox a 7-4 lead.

Kris Johnson was the starter and pitched well, working 6.1 innings, allowing three runs. Michael Bowden alllowed a run in 1.1 innings. Chad Paronto, Dustin Richardson and Robert Manuel pitched shutout ball to slam the door on the Mud Hens. Richardson (3-0) earned the win. Manuel picked up his ninth save.

The PawSox head home for an 8 game, 9 day homestand that begins on Saturday night at 6:05 p.m. They will face Durham for 4 games. Saturday is Jacoby Ellsbury bobblehead night and Ellsbury himself, is scheduled to begin his rehab assignment with the PawSox. Virgil Vazquez (5-1, 4.44) pitches for the first place Durham Bulls. He will face Mark Holliman (0-2, 7.59).
