Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
For the first time this season, the PawSox have strung together three straight wins. On Thursday afternoon, Kris Johnson lead Pawtucket to a 3-2 victory. KJ hurled 6 innings of 2 run, 3 hit ball to notch the win. Johnson (2-2) lowered his ERA to 6.11 for the season. Scott Atchison, Dustin Richardson and Joe Nelson (S,1) finished off Gwinnett. In the last 39 innings, PawSox pitchers have allowed just 2 earned runs.
Mike Cameron scored a run and knocked in another with a sacrifice fly that proved to be the game winner. Daniel Nava and Niuman Romero accounted for the other scores with an rbi each. Nava is tied for fourth in the I.L. with 28 rbi. Romero and Jorge Jimenez had 2 hits each.
The homestand continues on Friday at 7:05 p.m. Syracuse visits McCoy and sends lefty Matt Chico (NR) to the mound. He faces Michael Bowden (1-1, 6.39).
