
Blades Hold On To #5 In CHL Rankings

The Saskatoon Blades are ranked 5th in the country for the second week in a row in the BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 Rankings that came out on Wednesday afternoon.
The Blades played three times since the previous rankings were released. Last Wednesday, the Blades opened the week with a 7-3 loss to the Prince Albert Raiders on the road. The team responded on Friday night with a 5-4 shootout decision over the Regina Pats. On Saturday, the Blades completed the week with a 4-3 overtime win over the Brandon Wheat Kings at home.
The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League's Top 10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts. This is the seventeenth time the team has appeared in the rankings.
The Blades get back on the ice tonight with a home date against the Swift Current Broncos at Credit Union Centre. Game time is 7:05 pm. Tickets are available through any Ticketmaster outlet, by calling 938-7800, or by visiting Ticketmaster.ca.
