River Rats Announce School Assembly Contest

ALBANY, NY-The Albany River Rats announced today the kick-off of a school assembly contest in preparation for the club's upcoming School Game on Saturday, February 6th against the Springfield Falcons at the Times Union Center. The team has offered the school that brings the largest group to the 5:00 p.m. home game the First Annual River Rats Celebrity School Assembly, featuring "Rowdy" The Rat and SpongeBob Squarepants. Additionally, the class that brings the largest group to the School Night Game will have the chance to participate in the famous on-ice chuck-a-puck promotion! All order forms must be submitted to the River Rats executive offices by January 29th and can be found at the team website www.albanyriverrats.com.

"This is another way for us to connect our fans with the fun and excitement of River Rat games," said Vice President of Marketing, Jonathan Scherzer. "We are happy to be able to bring Spongebob back to the Capital Region and wish all schools the best of luck in the First Annual River Rats Celebrity School Assembly contest."

Albany plays Game Seven of the Time Warner Cable Cup series, where all seats are just five dollars, against the Glens Falls Phantoms this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Times Union Center.
